Camping

This past weekend we had a fun weekend of family camping at Patrick's Pond.  Grandma and Grandpa came with Porter, Kimberly, Allison and Brandon.  Holli and family, Kelli and family and Reed and family came out Friday afternoon for the evening. (These pictures are some mother put on facebook.  Because my camera was so pathetic I didn't even take mine)

It had rained everyday prior to the camping trip so we figured we would get wet.  Yep we did but everything of ours stayed dry so it was just fine.  The kids and I went out Thursday afternoon and Bruce and Rhett (he is taking a Hunter's Safety Course) came Thursday night.  Bruce left Friday morning and went to work then came back out Friday after work. The kids had so much fun fishing for crawdads and eating them.

Grandpa rode a bike - haven't seen that for probably------well I can't even remember.  I guess after 30 years or something like that he still remembers how to ride a bike.
Grandma got on and tried it but had problems with her legs so she couldn't ride it.
Tylinn had a little bit of a rough trip.  She fell in the pond trying  to get a string.  She was reaching by the log and fell too far.  Dustin helped her back - she was just scared and cold.  About 5 minutes before we were going to leave she was over by Holli's car and Molly (their dog) bit her in the back of the leg.  Thank heavens she had pants on.  It left teeth marks and almost broke the skin but not quite.  If she wouldn't have had pants on it would have taken a huge chunk out of her leg.  It was a traumatic experience for her but she recovered quick and after just a few days she said she couldn't feel it anymore.  Thankfully it wasn't worse.
It was a way fun camping spot.  I hope we can get another trip in before the summer is over!  It was a pain in the neck getting everything packed (I did all the packing with lots of help from Dustin and some from Bridget and Dustin)  Bruce was busy working and went out the night before to get a tarp and tent set up so it was up to the kids and I to do it.  It's a ton of work to do inside and outside packing for camping but after we got there it was worth every minute of the work it was!

Tylinn's 9th Birthday!

I have been slacking big time on my blogging!  Part because of only 1 terrible camera and party because of a crazy summer.  I remembered I never blogged about Tylinn's 9th birthday.  Tylinn turned 9 the day after we got home from the Roundhouse so this post should be right after that.  That little trip was a big part of her birthday so when her birthday came it wasn't too exciting of a day.  We did take her to dinner - she wanted "Wild Women's Saloon".  It is always fun to take the kids out for their birthday.  This is one of the things I love about the kids birthdays!

She wanted her Blizzard from DQ!
Tylinn got an art kit and stamp set to go with her school set and also a bow and arrow that she loves!
She had a yummy Icecream Sandwich cake that night that was perfect on a hot summer day like that day was!
Tylinn is the sweetest girl ever.  She is just nice and pleasant to have around 99.8% of the time.  She is such a peacemaker in our family.  Tylinn also LOVES animals!  She is just a very kind hearted - sweet girl!  Tylinn we love you and are so glad you are in our family!

4th of July

The 4th of July was on Thursday this year.  Roy and Family were AZ and made their way to our house that day.  We had a fun day.  It started out with Bruce trying to fix my kitchen table leg.  He was drilling a piece of wood with a spear shaped wood bit and the wood slipped and got his hand.  Thankfully Bro. Crandell was home and 7 stitches and 30 minutes later we were on our way home.

Bruce and Roy (we are having camera issues and this camera take horrible pictures outside but it's all I have right now.)
 It rained and rained.
And hailed and hailed that day.  Holli and Shawn came right as the storm started for the weekend.  They sat in their car for the 1st 10 minutes after they got here and got sick of sitting so they made a run for it to he front door!

Rhett and Jordan decided to play commando....not sure what brought that on.

Sorry about the awful pictures.  This is the Saturday of the celebration of the 4th.  They were getting ready to shoot the anvil off - the really high one this time.

These cute boys did the flag raising for the program.  Gabe, Jordan, Dustin, Rhett and Noah

Here we are at the parade.  It was actually the best parade I have seen here since we have lived here.  We enjoyed it.

We also LOVED the fireworks as we do every year!  And enjoyed the 75 other people we had at our house that night that came to enjoy them with us!  I love this holiday - especially it is fun to see the how patriotic this little town of Heber is!  So thankful for the freedoms we have and helps with all the rain we have received to make it even more beautiful!

Roundhouse

I was looking for a fun place to take the kids for a little vacation - pretty much to let the kids have some days of swimming.  I was checking the Internet and decided to check Groupon.  I ended up finding a great deal on a 2 bedroom cabin at the Roundhouse resort in Pinetop.  I was thinking the valley somewhere or something but decided this would be way better and closer.
The kids swam

 Played ping pong.
 Played volleyball

Played at the little park place.

Enjoyed the Jacuzzi tub! (and so did I)

 Ate
 Played Kindles
 Played games
 Slept
 Played miniature golf

and enjoyed ourselves.  It was a way fun close vacation.  There was plenty going on at the resort so we just stayed there the whole time playing.  It was very nice and relaxing!

Sisters Trip

This year we had a blast on our sisters trip1  We drove to Vegas and picked up LeAnne.  This was my first time experiencing Vegas.  I went there one other time for our half Marathon but we didn't do anything but drive up the strip because of time.  We stayed in the Stratosphere on the strip.  We rode the tower to the top.  It was way up there! Holli and Kelli at the top.

Watching a water show at the Bellagio.  It was way cool but even cooler at night.

The statue show in Caesars Palace.

We were surprised at all the characters out for pictures that were waiting for tips.  This Mickey Mouse obviously didn't want his picture taken!
Bellagio again - this time at night.  We walked and walked that night up and down and back and forth to try to see everything.  There was still tons we didn't get to see.  We got so sick of the sidewalks being packed with people and were pretty pooped so we called it a night.
The next day I wanted to go to the M & M store.  I LOVED this store!  All suited up for the 3D show!
LeAnne and I by the racecar.
Never seen so many M&M's before in my life!  Never knew they had so many colors.
After Vegas we went to St. George for a few days.  We watched Mulan at the Haefen Theater our first night there then the second night we watch Mary Poppins at Tuacahn.  It was awesome!!!  I have never seen such a great play - they even made it magical just like the movie!
That night my dad had some issues so we jumped in the car the next morning and headed for home.  It was a great trip!  Look forward to it every year!  Can't wait till next year!
