Homecoming Week

We had a fun but crazy Homecoming Week. It was fun having a kid in High School that participated in a lot of it.  Mountain Meadows and Capps had the same dress up days and Jr. High and High School had the same.
This was crazy hair day

 Back to the Future

Sports - a volleyball player, football player and softball player

Movie day - Bridget as Thing 1 and Dustin John Wayne
PJ day (I wore mine to school that day)
 Fairy Tale Day

Twin day - Dustin was twins with John and Noah ( I guess triplet day) and Bridget was with Amber B.
Bridget got to play in the Powderpuff game this year.  She was SOO excited for this.  The Freshman and Seniors play together and the Juniors and Sophomores.  The Seniors mostly played this game but Bridget did get some playing time.  It was FREEZING that night!  She had tons of fun but woke up the next morning with quite a few bumps and bruises she didn't have before.

Thursday night they had the Homecoming Assembly.  Here is Jordan and Bridget.  Both of them were nominated for royalty but neither one got it.  Bridget got a little embarrassed that night.  They called up the boy nominees and Jordan McLaws was one of them.  Then they called up the girls and it had Jordan McLaws on the girl side too so they just kind of skipped over it.  Well that girl Jordan Mclaws was supposed to be Bridget.  After they got all the girls up there some kids told KJ and he got Bridget up there.  Afterwards Mrs. Curry apologized for typing the wrong name.  She said there are too many McLaws' around to keep them all straight.
 Kids after!
 Sisters.....
Friday Bridget had a great day.  JV had a volleyball game she got to play in then she was in the wagon race at half time of the football game.  The Freshman had fun with that and only dumped poor Megan out a couple of times.  They ended up taking 2nd place for that.  After half time she was sitting with Whipple, Ashley, and Eva and Bridget said she wanted to go cheer with the cheerleaders.  So she said let's go and those girls asked them if they could cheer with them.  Well Bridget had a blast doing this.  She was cute out there with them.

They ended up cheering the rest of the game with them and had so much fun.  These girls got really good at the cheers too and Bridget taught the cheerleaders a few cheers and moves of her own!

Navajo County Fair

The Fair rolled around again this year.  Bridget, Dustin, and Rhett all had pigs again this year.  We were able to spend Wednesday night in Holbrook again this year.  The kids love this.  They love to swim with a bunch of friends.

As you can see there were quite a few friends!!

Ellie, Tylinn, Cameron playing in the dirt during the show.
Dustin trying to get his pig out of the corner
 Dustin's weighed 240

Rhett and Bridget's pig were in the same weight class.  Rhett's weight 327 - Bridget's weighed 284
They boys both took 3rd in their weight class so that was exciting.  Bridget ended up getting a red ribbon.  She wasn't too thrilled about that but she had fun showing it.
Friday for the sale I wasn't able to be there.  I had to work and it about killed me not being there to watch my kids. Dustin and Rhett both ended up getting around $3.25 for their pigs.  The red ribbons don't go for near as much and go lots faster so Bridget only ended up with $2.65 a pound.  Rhett did really good since his pig was so big - Bridget and Dustin both made money so there are no complaints at all.  We are very blessed our kids are able to do this so they can learn and make a little money while they are at it. Tylinn can have a pig next year and is SO excited she can hardly stand it.

Football

Rhett Man has been waiting to be on a real football team with pads and everything.  He has played backyard football for years and he wanted the real thing.  Well this year that dream came true.  He and Dustin both played on the Jr. High team.  I loved loved loved watching them. They were so cute!!  They had a good season and had tons of fun.  They both have said they wish it wasn't over and I totally agree with them. Dustin ended up making a touchdown one of the games so that was exciting for him.  By the end of the season Rhett was starting.

This is their huddle at the end of the game.

 Mogollon football team

Volleyball

Bridget liked volleyball in Jr. High but she has LOVED it in High School.  Usually Mogollon only has a JV and Varsity team but this year there were so many Freshman girls that went out they had a Freshman team.  We were very glad or there would have been a lot of girls sitting the bench.

Bridget loved starting and playing all of the Freshman games as a setter.  They pulled Bridget along with 2 other Freshman up on JV.  Bridget had fun sitting the bench with JV and playing in the 2nd game of JV.
She has a new love for Vball and has loved having Whitmer coach her!
