Tylinn

As I said Tylinn loves animals.  The other day after school I looked out the back door and saw this.  The first picture she didn't know I was taking.  She just loves animals.

Pigs

The kids have been working hard with their 4-H pigs this year.  Tylinn is SO excited because this is her first year she has been able to do the fair.  She is one animal lover! We took pictures yesterday to put with the buyers invitations.  Some good looking pigs - and kids!!

Unfortunately we don't think Bridget's pig is going to make weight.  It got worms and we didn't catch it early enough to get it better and eating again.  It's kind of a bummer.  This will be the 1st time that has ever happened to us.
We are thankful the kids get this opportunity to learn and grow and earn a little money!

Volleyball Camp

Tylinn and Kaylee got to participate in the volleyball camp this year.  Bridget was one of the helpers.  They all enjoyed it!

Hunter had to jump in for a pic!

First Day of School

Here are our cute kiddos all ready for the 1st day of school.  Everybody was pretty excited.  I wasn't super excited for me to start back but a schedule and structure is a good thing!

Blessings

We are blessed enough to have a great dad in the home to give us beginning of the year Father's Blessings.  Yes Dustin and Rhett were too cool to give their dad a kiss.  We sure love this guy!

Good Bye

Bridget was able to spend 2 days with one of her best friends ever - Ashley Burns - this past weekend.  Ashley moved to Heber 1 1/2 years ago.  She wasn't here for long but last school year her and Bridget were attached at the hip.  They had every class together last year.  When they moved here they weren't memebers of the church.  They ended up getting baptized and were in our ward.  At the end of the school year they moved to Texas.  I think this was one of the hardest things Bridget has gone through.  Her family didn't stay active but Ashley did - as much as she was allowed.  Ashley has stayed strong!  That has been one of the things that has been so hard on Bridget - she knows Ashley is on her own as far as the church goes.  Martineau's flew Ashley to AZ and took her on their family vacation.  She got home Thursday evening - that is when Bridget got to see her.  For them to see each other was priceless!  They shed many tears while she was here with very mixed feelings.
They played all day and night Friday and Saturday.  Sunday morning we left with Aunt Tiff and went to the airport to drop Ashley off.  I think it was just as hard this time for them to say goodbye as it was the 1st time.  They are for sure friends forever and they know they are!

Happy Birthday Rhett Man

Rhett turned 13 on Saturday.  I really can't believe he is that old.  He is such a happy fun boy!  For his birthday he wanted a new scripture case.  He got one when he turned 8 that has CTR on it - not sure why but he thinks he has out grown that one :)

With him being in Mr. Maner's class they did their juggling stuff at the end of the year.  Rhett loved that stuff so for his birthday I got him a set with a plate, diablo, scarfs, balls, and rings.  He has already gotten really good with it.
On his birthday he wanted to go to Willow with a couple of friends. We packed a lunch, loaded the kayak, and picked up Riley and Porter.  We got to Willow and unloaded everything.  About 2 minutes later it started sprinkling, about 2 minutes after that it started raining so we decided we better load things back up.  About  2 minutes after that it started pouring.  We waited there for a while and decided it wasn't letting up any time soon.  So we drove home.  We had our lunch here and the boys played.
It was a pretty low key birthday but Rhett was OK with that.  He wanted to go to Aliberto's for dinner and get Carnasada Fries and Horchata.  (yep I'm not Mexican!)  We had cheese cake that night (something Rhett loves).  Rhett is a specail boy that everybody loves!!  I am so thankful to be his mom!

Celebration

We had another successful year at the Celebration.  It is pretty much the same thing every year - the kids just a year older.  I could put my pictures of when I was a kid on here and they would be the same things.  The kids Love it!!!
Here is Kaylee ready to take off for her race at the rodeo.

 Tylinn ready to run.

 Rhett Man!
Tylinn and Austin ready to run the stick horse keg race.
They announced the keg race for all the racers to go over there.  Then they announced the 8 and under first.  Tylinn and Austin were already sitting down and didn't hear that.  Part way through the race they found that out but it was too late.  Tylinn and Austin are 2 of the sweetest kids around so I know it was total innocence.
They were the winners!  The last couple they competed against were bigger then they were so I guess it ended up being OK. They got Flake Rodeo t-shirts.  On the back it says "This Ain't no Ordinary Rodeo"
Rhett and Taylor ran it and got 2nd.  Dustin did it with Porter then the older group with Brigham.  Dustin and Porter did really good too.  Dustin and Brigham were doing really good!  Brigham tripped and Dustin fell over him so they got out.  They should have taken it easy!
 Tylinn and Tye
Tylinn did the ribbon roping with Shawn mugging and Reed roping.  Reed caught and did great.  Tylinn grabbed the ribbon
and took off running.  It was pretty good.  Shawn had a hard time getting the rope off the calf.  Tylinn wouldn't have won anyway because there were a couple that were faster.  She has fun doing this every year! It was one hot dusty dirty year this year.  It was hotter then I ever remember it being for the Flake Rodeo.
Kids anticipating candy at the parade.
A bunch of family men were in a Mormon Batallion Float.  Grandpa was on of the officers on the side closest to the kids.
Bruce is carrying the American Flag.
Here are some more of the men and boys.
We decided this year to not do the races at the Main Street Church Saturday morning.  There are tons of people and the kids run 1 short race and they are done.  We did them at Grandma and Grandpa's this year with cousins Saturday afternoon.

The moms even had a race.  It was all good until Holli tripped and Jill fell over her!  Guess mom's must be too old to run these little races!
It was fun going to the town rodeo and the rain.  It is the best sitting on the lawn visiting!

Sister's Time

We had another great sister's party this year.  We always seem to do that :) This year Kelli was in charge - we went to Flagstaff.  I went to Snowflake then me and my mom drove to Flagstaff and met the others.
We went to visit Rachel then did some shopping before checking into our motel.  My mom gave all of us these matching purple flower PJ's.  So there was a bunch of purple flowers!
We tried several shots with my camera timer it or me was having stress!  This is the best we got!
 Kelli and Holli
The sisters went Ice skating while my mom watched.  None of us had ever been before.  It was tons of fun.  We got out of there with none of falling - which was amazing!

We are lunch at a pirate type place (I can't remember what it is called).  We laughed alot, went on a hike, walks, ate, and shopped!  It was a great time!
