18 Years

We celebrated out 18 anniversary this past month. Well we didn't really do much celebrating because of the crazy 4th of July festivities. We did manage to go to lunch for a few minutes. Kaylee made us the sign and took pictures for us.

Trip to Flagstaff

We decided to take a little trip to Flagstaff for a few days.  We enjoyed our time.  We went to the Lava Tunnel.  Bruce and I went before and I chickened out so this time we brought some brave kids to go the whole way with him.  Kaylee and I went in a little ways and turned around together.  She was asking the whole time until we turned around if we could.  Then I had everybody turn off their flashlights so they could see what pitch black was.  Kaylee freaked out.  I decided I better get her out of there.  We turned around and the others took off.  Well Kaylee wasn't happy - she wanted to keep going but everybody else was long gone.  We finally decided we would pick some wild flowers and then go back in the cave and meet them coming out.

After we got finished there we had a little picnic.
 The flowers we picked.

We went to the Aquaplex and had fun.  There was rock climbing there.  Bruce headed up...
 Kaylee getting geared up.
 Go Tylinn!!!
 The boys are ready.
 Bridget's turn

There wasn't hardly anybody else there so these kids got to climb all they wanted.  The youngest 3 climbed up one and down then up another for hours.  We did take a break to swim for a while.

The oldest 2 went exploring and found a basketball court and volleyball court.
Weights and every other kind of exercise equipment we could imagine.

The next morning Bruce and I snuck away for a hike.  It was lots of fun!
Then on to ice skating.  I was wondering how Kaylee and Tylinn would do - but they took off like they had done it before.  We had lots of fun.

 Dustin taking a little break.

Bruce was trying to help Tylinn skate backwards.

For a while we were the only ones there so that was way nice.  We had a great trip and much needed family time together.  We got some school shopping done while we were there too.
