How Can It Be?

Well the Friday after his birthday we took this boy to Show Low to get his drivers license.  He passed with flying colors with that and the parallel parking.  Thank heavens he practices the parking - :) while practicing he knocked in the door of the car and thankfully it popped out but it had Bruce worried - it's probably a good thing I wasn't down there practicing with him!

So now we have another driver in the house.  The same day we went to the Showlow PO to get his and Bridget's passports for their Guatemala Trip the Spanish Club is taking during Spring Break.  A drivers license and a passport in the same day sounds like spoiling to me!

Mogollon vrs Snowflake

Last Thursday Taylor and his 8th grade team came to Heber to play us in a basketball game.  I tried getting a good picture with both of them on the court but it didn't happen.  The Mustangs ended up pulling off a win against the Lobos.  It was a great game.  It's fun to see 2 cousins out on the court!

Priest Ordination

With turning 16 along comes the ordination of a Priest.  It was fun that this ended up being on his birthday!

Here are some of the priesthood holders that took part in the ordination.  Too bad the middle two had already changed.  Both Grandma and Grandpas came to our house after church for Lasagna dinner.

It was a great day!  I still can't believe this boy is 16!  So thankful he is a good boy with a testimony that strives hard to do what is right. He is growing up way too fast though!

Dustin is 16!!

I can't believe my big boy is 16 years old!  His birthday was on a Sunday so Saturday night after some basketball games he wanted to have a few friends over.  He told me he didn't want a bunch just kids in his grade and a few close friends.  Well 30 friends later we had a party!  Everybody that walked in the door I would think "yep they are good friends" so Dustin just has lots of good friends!

They played bean boozled  - a game where you spin and land on a color of Jelly Belly's it's either Tootie Frootie or Stinky socks etc.  There is skunk spray, barf, grass clippings, baby wipes, boogers and a few others I can't think of.  They played Kemps, spoons, Jaylen brought his X Box, sledded out in the snow, took dorky snow pictures.  They had lots of fun.

They ate tons of chips and salsa, and nachos, cookies and lots of hot chocolate.
These were the 3 Juniors here that are best buds! Noah, Bridget and Barr. It was a great night with great kids!

We The People

Tylinn and Bruce went to We The People with Tylinn's 6th grade class and the other 6th grade class. Bruce said Tylinn did great on her speech and had a great day!  The hit of the trip was coming home Bruce took his little speaker and they hooked it up to Emma's Ipod and sung their little hearts out!

Snow Fun!

Tylinn and Kaylee and I went sledding (well I went to take pictures) with the Parry's by the realtor office.  Here are some pictures from the fun!

New Years Eve

I would like to say New Years Eve was a quiet one but with these 4 girls it was anything but quiet.  Rhett stayed in Snowflake with Taylor for a couple of nights and one of them was New Years Eve so we brought Jordan here with us.  Tylinn wanted a friend so she invited Emalee W. to hang out with her.

Bruce started framing a wall and some closets upstairs.  Wooo hooo!  We will have to wait a while before we can start on the sheet rock but at least it is moving forward!
Second and third wards did something together as you but our ward didn't have anything planned so Bridget just hang out at home with us.  We ended up playing Sequence and watching a movie.
Dustin had a few boys over to play Jaylen's play station and eat food.

These girls played Just Dance on the Wii and were crazy!!  But they had lots of fun!

Midnight came and Bruce and the boys shot off some firecrackers and that was the end of it.  Dustin had to leave at 6:45 the next morning for a basketball tournament in St. Johns.  So we took a few kids home and headed to bed.  We are grateful to ring in the new year and be able to try harder to be  little better!!

Snowflake

After Christmas we went to Snowflake.  One of the days there we went to 5 mile to play on the ice and to iceskate.  The Ridings and Schultz families were there too.

 Bridget practicing her olympic poses.

Christmas Day 2015

We were very blessed again to have another great Christmas!  It was a different morning - we told the kids they could wake us up at 5:45. Bruce and I woke up a few minutes before that and were laying in bed.  It was a super windy yucky day and all the sudden all the electricity shut off.  We were really hoping it would come right back on but it didn't.  We figured it wouldn't be too bad we could just light our oil lamps and stuff.  That was fine - just a little dark until we opened a hot chocolate maker and wanted to plug it in and cook our monkey bread we have every Christmas morning and little girls use Wifi to set up some things on their new ipods.  So not it wasn't a huge thing but it did put a little damper on it. Also I love having Christmas music playing and the tree lights on and we didn't have any of that.  Thankfully about 9:30 they got the power back on.  The girls with their new aprons.  Must mean they have to help mom in the kitchen ;)

The Whipple's do things different for Christmas and Caleb's family was all still asleep so he got to come with us for the morning.  He and Bridget got us all decked out in Knox attire.  Tylinn and Kaylee got jackets and the rest of us got Knox shirts that we all love!
He gave all the girls a little bear or puppy with a Knox shirt or something on it.

There is a joke from last year because Caleb was here last Christmas too and Bridget got Grape nuts and he isn't a fan of them.  He couldn't believe somebody actually likes those.  He called them Grape Rocks.  Rhett got some this year so they had to get a picture with them.
 Oh I love this boy!
Caleb also gave Tylinn and Kaylee a marshmallow maker they had in a shed at their house so Rhett is making marshmallows with Kaylee.  They were - hmmmm interesting! :)
Tylinn and Kaylee got Chinese Jump ropes.  Here is some of the action.
Got a picture with the family with all our Knox get up on!
It was a fun day!  The best part about it is the time we get to spend with the family and reflect on the Savior and his birth and life.  Grandma and Grandpa Flake came for a while and had dinner with us and visited.  Grandpa brought his Spurs all the kids got him that L. Parry made him. - I should have taken a picture of them on him.  It was a special day! We are so blessed!
