Rhett's Car

Last summer Rhett worked for uncle Scott and his payment was this car. He got it and he and Bruce have spent time getting the sound system already in it. This specific night about 8:30 Rhert decided he wanted some speakers in it and they stayed out there till about 11 helping to build something to get them in that night it's been some good time together!

Smores

For mutual the other night we were having Smore's with the young women. Bruce made this chalkboard and I asked Tylinn to draw something on there for me and this is what she came up with. She did pretty darn good!

Elders

We love our Elders here. Elder Clark the little one runs every morning at the track. The other day he and Bruce were talking and decided to go running the loop. So Elder Clark did great running 6 miles and Elder Humphreys rode his bike. Bruce of course ran along with Elder Clark. It's been great having them here and in our home! This picture was taken in the morning after they got back from running!

Sisters Trip

This year we went to Flagstaff again for our sisters trip. Kelli was in charge this year and it was a great trip! Mother ended up having to have back surgery a week before so she wasn't able to go. We went through Snowflake to Flagstaff so we could eat lunch with her and play a game with her.

Kelli rented a house again this year for it. It was very awkward when we got there the lady whose name is Gwendolyn was still there. She had to take us through the house and show us everything. She was there for about 30 minutes after we got there. We walked in and she had three big dogs that thankfully she took with her. Just  before she walked out the door she happened to mention about a guy named Adam who was living behind some double doors in the house. That was pretty awkward and we heard him some of the time. But we had some good laughs about Gwendolyn because she was a crazy lady. Holli found this little sign in her house that we had to take a picture with. It looks like we have been crying but nope it's laughing so hard we were crying.

Friday morning we got up and hike some of Mt. Humphreys. When it was getting a little stormy looking we decided we better start heading down. We had tickets to ride the ski lift and needed to get that finished before it started raining.

At the lodge they had a big connect 4 game and big checkers game. Leanne and I beat Holli and Kelli at the game of connect 4. It's a good thing we only played one game of it!!

We had to have our beauty session that was waxing eyebrows this year.

Kids Summer Jobs

Our kids have been very blessed summer to have summer jobs. All five of them had something he could do to earn some money. Here are some pictures of them hard at work….

Rhett is working at Premier Auto Bidy with uncle Scott! Last year he worked for uncle Scott and gave him a car that they worked on for payment. This year he got paid cash and it was a great summer for him. 

Bridget worked at Ace Hardware again this summer. She worked inside as a cashier and a little bit outside in the nursery. It's been bad for her and she's done really well there!

Dustin worked with Haskell Reynolds again this summer. It's a good job that teaches them how to work hard. He got up at 4:20 every morning this summer and I get off work about 5 o'clock. He would come home and go to weights and eat dinner and go to bed. That was pretty much his life all summer. But he made some good money!

These little cutie girls were able to water Brother Crandell's garden this summer and also babysit some little kids of working moms. They ended up making a decent amount of money this summer which was super nice because we are not having 4-H animals this year. It's been a huge blessing for all the work. They have been able to save money and buy some school clothes and have some spending money. We're thankful for all those who hired them to work for them.

Frisbee Golf

At the park the county has a frisbee golf course. We were looking for something to do for family home evening and decided that would be the perfect thing!

It was a great night as a family!!

Fourth of July Celebrations

The Saturday of the 4th Dustin got to play in the 3 on 3 basketball tournament. Him, Gabe, Noah, and a guy Dustin works with named Chad was him team. 

We enjoyed visiting with family and having fun. We played games and best of all enjoy the fireworks. It was great to have a visit from Andrew and Jessica. 

Holli and Shawn stayed here until Monday and we went to Patrick's pond to go crawdad fishing. It was a great time at the fun picnic! 

Another year for the Fourth of July in the books! We are thankful for the freedoms we enjoy!
