Random

Bruce rode his bike to work then on to a ball game.  Tylinn decided she wanted a ride home from dad.  This is how they worked that  out!

 We got our first juice from our first grapes this year.  We picked a few 5 gallon buckets full from Grandma and Grandpa Flakes house too.  There is nothing like that yummy grape juice!

On Fast Sunday Kaylee gets to eat something before we go to church - we always stick her in the pantry so she is't tempting the other kids....well here she is!!

 Bridget loves the missionaries.  We all do I guess but Bridget made these Elders - Elder Byington, Elder Johnson, and Elder Strong cookies and they came to pick them up.  We love the time the Elders spend in our home!

Rhett Football

Rhett is playing football and loving every minute of it.  Rhett has gotten to play all of every game as center.  He has like that but hopes someday to be a running back (2 back I think is what he is calling it).  He is a good little ball player and has taken the bumps and scrapes and bruises pretty good!

Volleyball

Bridget has loved volleyball this year.  She did love it more the beginning of the season then now.  She is getting tired of losing.  They haven't won a game yet - JV or Varsity!  Bridget plays JV and serves for Jennifer on Varsity.  She is an amazing server! She tires the hardest on the team and has had several tell her they can't believe she isn't playing varsity setting because she is the best setter. She puts 100% into games and practice!

Navajo County Fair

We survived another year at the fair.  Dustin's pig got 3rd place in his weight class.  Rhett and Tylinn both got a red ribbon.  The judge didn't like Duroc pigs and that is what Tylinn and Rhett's were so he put them in the red ribbon pen first thing.  Dustin did really good with the showmanship but didn't end up winning anything.  At the beginning of the sale they called Bridget up because her pig had died and gave her a card from all the Heber friends and Jessica.  There was a card and $180 in it to help cover the cost of her pig.  It was way sweet.  I was at work that day. She called and told me about it and I just cried and cried.  It was so sweet!  Dustin got $3.25 for his, Rhett - $3.70, and Tylinn $4.00.  It was a very good sale this year.  We were very blessed.  Bridget had the camera because for the show the batteries were dead and she forgot to take a picture of Dustin in the arena.

Football

This year they are letting the Freshman dress out for all the varsity football games.  It is fun for Dustin but some games (most) he just gets a great spot to watch the game.  These pictures were taken after their game last week against Salome.  This top is Dustin and McKay - Dustin loves that guy! He felt pretty special because McKay asked for this picture - it made him feel pretty good!  The older boys on the team have been so good to Dustin this year.  He thinks the world of them!

 This is Gabe, Dustin, Noah and Devon.  These boys do lots together.  Dustin and Noah are together all the time and Gabe and Devon are so it makes it convenient for brothers and their good buddies.

Dustin is loving football this year.  He has told Bridget several times how much more fun sports are in High School where people are more serious about it.  Our team went to Tohono O' Odham this past Friday.  They left at noon and got back at 3:00 Saturday morning.  This school is just getting going with a football team so the JV played most of the game.  Dustin was really excited.  He got to run the ball and felt like he had a pretty good game.  Guess it was worth the 6 hour bus ride one way!

Clean up

Yesterday was the community day of service clean up day.  We had just gotten our fruit in the day before and I had way too much to do so Marinda took Tylinn and Kaylee and after Bruce, Rhett and Bridget got done with a ward wood project Bruce took Dustin and Rhett to go help.  Here are some pictures the Chamber took at the lunch after.
