Dustin Track

Basketball season was over so it was time for the new sport.  Bridget already knew she wanted to play softball because she loves it but Dustin was a little undecided.  I told him if he didn't love baseball he should try track.  It is a lot less stress then baseball.  So he is trying his hand at it.  Also when that is where your best bud is it helps!!
We don't have a pole vault coach or anybody that knows how to do it. These 2 boys have tried their best at teaching themselves.  Maybe one of these days they will get over the bar at a meet.  They can at practice if the bar is a little lower.

Dustin is also running the 200.  He is looking forward to be able to improve in this.  It will for sure happen over the years.  His attitude too is if it will help him get faster for football it is worth every bit of it!!

Basketball Team

Tylinn's Showlow City Basketball team!  Great group of girls!

GAB

One fun (well most of the time) thing about having a dating teenager are the dances.  A few weeks ago they had GAB. Stands for Girl ask boy.  Bridget took Hayden
Their group - they ate Hamburgers at Weber's then went to the church and played Ultimate Spoons then on to the dance.
Bridget had a fun night with this crazy guy!  Glad they are such good friends!

Basketball awards

Basketball is over so they had the awards banquet Monday evening.  Bridget is up here with Coach Pritchard, Olivia, and Whipple.  She was happy to get her basketball pin.  Go Bridget!

Kaylee is 9

I can't believe this girl is really 9 years old!  She had a fun day.  It was a late start day at school so that was a great way to start off a birthday!  Opening presents before school...

Part of her presents was a treasure hunt. Her and Tylinn had fun running around the house looking for clues and finding a treasure.
 Mickey mouse pancakes!
She got to pick out of the treasure box at school.  Her with her great teacher Mrs. Cronin.
 Passing out cookies at school.

 Kaylee and Mrs. Elwanda
She got to have a couple of neighbor friends come over and play after school.  And the birthday cake!

She wanted her dinner spot to be Alibertos - she wanted Carne Asada Fries.  She also wanted an icee from Circle K to go with it.  We stopped to get that first.  She had the bottom of her cup filled with blue and it slipped out of her hand when she was getting some red so me, the counter and the floor were covered.  She went to bed that night with a very full tummy!
Kaylee is a sweet girl.  We are so blessed to have her in our family.  She has a tender little heart and is almost always putting others first.  We love you Kaylee!

Spelling Bee

This little cute girl took 2nd place at the school spelling bee so she went to the district one in Snowflake.  The practice round she went to move the mike and it made a really loud noise like she broke something (but she didn't) and it scared her to death.  She was already nervous enough and this for sure didn't help.  She got out on the first round along with quite a few other people.  The word she missed was nostril.  She spelled it nostrel.  And of course as soon as she got finished and got down to us she knew exactly how to spell it.  It was all good though - she made it there and we finished with a trip to Arbys (her choice) for her celebration.  Bruce and I were the only ones that went to watch it because the rest of the kids were in school.

Tylinn you did great and we are proud of you!

Football Ring

One of the big highlights of winning state for football was these boys were going to get football rings.  They got them ordered and finally got them right before our last home basketball game so they decided to hand them out there.  Here is Dustin getting his.  Hmmm guess I should have gotten a close up picture of the ring.  I will hopefully get one and get it on here.  They are huge - don't think he will hardly ever wear it but they are pretty cool!

Mustang Basketball

We had a great basketball season this year.  I have sat through more basketball games the last 3 months then I ever though I would have.  I have loved every minute of it because I love watching my kids.  Bridget kind of had a rough season on Varsity.  They didn't have enough girls to have a JV team so they only had varsity.  She got to play a decent amount but not as much as if they would have had a JV team.  She did enjoy it but basketball is more just her "in between" sport.  It is brutal with all the games though!

Dustin played on the JV team.  Some games he played a lot and some games he sat alot.  We couldn't really figure out the rhyme or reason to when he played and didn't play.  He absolutely loved every minute of it.  Those varsity boys and seniors were so good to him!  He got to go in for a few minutes on a few Varsity games.  It was fun to watch him in those.  He just had fun the games he got to warm up with varsity and sit the bench with them.
Bridget with her little basketball friend.  Caleb is awesome at basketball and all of our idols.  We loved watching him play!

This was Rhett's 1st year of playing "real basketball".  He loved every minute of it.  He started and played almost all of every game on the 7th grade team and played some on the 8th grade team.
These pictures have no specific order or anything to them.  I just found some decent ones and put them on.

Dustin had fun hanging out with these 2 buddies (Noah and John).

Tylinn and Kaylee got to play at half time of the Varsity games with President Whipple's little group he gets together every year.  Kaylee has never played basketball before so she had a lot to learn.  She got the hang of it and loved it.  There isn't very often that I don't find a ball in her and Tylinn's hands.

Tylinn is a quick little firecracker out there on the court.  She also loves this game.  I don't think she will be very tall so she better be fast!  Tylinn is also playing with Heber kids in a Showlow league.  Hopefully I will get some pictures of her there at her next game and on here.

It has been fun watching all these kids play ball!  Now on to track and softball :)
