First Day of School

I can't believe another school year is here.  After spending all the $ on school clothes, athletic shoes cleats etc,, registering kids for school its time for it to start.  Tylinn in 6th Grade - Mr. Maner
Kaylee in 4th Grade - Mrs. Jackson
 Dustin a Sophomore
He has zero hour weights so he was off early
 Rhett 8th Grade
Because Dustin left early we forgot to get a picture of me with him.  I am back to work too!
Bridget a Junior - my how time flies.  I can't believe I only have 2 more precious years with her and 3 with Dustin.
These 2 were crazy opposites the first day of school
All my kids!  Sure love these guys to death!!  Here's to another great year!!

Blessings

Blessings.......I have 6 right here that I am so grateful for!  Yesterday we did our back to school blessings from Dad.  This is always a special time in our home.  As you can see from red eyes emotion and spirit filled too!  I am thankful for a husband that is a worthy priesthood holder and takes care of his family!  We love you Bruce Lyle!

Rhett Man is 14

Rhett is an awesome kid!  He turned 14 this year.  We was able to be ordained a Teacher.  His birthday was on Sunday - not just a normal Sunday but Fast Sunday. He never complained!  We had the Snowflake family come for a loaded baked potato for dinner.  LeAnne was still here so she got to be in on the fun!

Rhett's a good boy and we are so lucky to have him in our home!

Sisters

One of my favorite things in the summer is our sister's party.  This year Holli was in charge and we went to Pinetop.  Thursday we went to an old ladies botique then back to the room and played games.  Friday was hiking, shopping and pedicures.  We hiked to the ice cave but there is no ice.
We always have fun on our hikes!
Pedicures were the best.  It was tons of fun with all of us.  This is only my 2nd so I really enjoyed it!

 Our pretty toes!

Friday night was more games and laughing.  Saturday we went for a walk then to lunch then home.  I got home to this.  Tylinn and Kaylee had made me cupcakes!  They sure make coming home fun!  LeAnne spent the night here then on to the next party for Rhett's birthday!

Pioneer Day Celebration

Another fun year at the celebration.  I laugh about ever year at the celebration I post the same pictures just everybody a year older.  But the kids love it!  Here is Kaylee running in her race in the red shirt.

Rhett and Porter enjoying their treat from their race.
 The family enjoying the rodeo.
Kaylee and Cayden ready to run the stick keg race.
 The are pretty fast!
Tylinn and Austin - last year they won it because they were the old ones.  This year they were the youngest in their group.

 Bridget and Madison
Tylinn waiting for the ribbon roping.
Go Reed!  He did great roping this year. He only missed 1 out of 5
 Brigham mugged for Tylinn.

They all did great but not fast enough for any $$.
We had a VMF 100 year family reunion in conjunction with the other activities.  Scott went to lots of work planning it.  We had a float in the parade that turned out good.  I need to find some pictures of it.  There were a lot of us but it was only a tiny smidgen of how many Flakes there really are. Spent some time at the big house and at Gr and Gpa Flake's (Norman's) house visiting and watching videos.

Driver #2

Dustin got his permit July 10th.  Driving is harder then he thought it would be -what a surprise!! :)  He has done good with it though.  He drove me part way home from ShowLow that day!

This boy also got braces July 14th.  He and Bruce got braces on the same day.  Bruce just got them on the bottom for now.  Dustin was not very thrilled at all his dad was getting braces the same day as him.  I have a picture with them on - I just need to find it!

Happy 4th of July

We had all the festivities of the Forth!  A pallet flag that Dustin took pictures of hoping to make some to see but the time got away from us.
The girls all dressed up and their bikes ready for the parade at the library.

These 4 were going to sing the National Anthem right before the fireworks started.
Youth Singing For America!!  Another great program that I got to help with.  Aunt Tiff did an amazing job again!
Rhett was in Utah this year for Tiffany's wedding with Scott and Tedi so he wasn't able to be in it.  He had tons of fun in Utah so it made it all OK!  So this year was Dustin, Bridget and Tylinn in it from our family.

 Pictures from the night.

Then on to the parade.  Derek was the Grand Marshall.  They invited Bruce and I to ride in it with them but we opted out and decided to just watch.
Taylor spent a few days with us during the 4th.  Him, Dustin, Tylinn and Kaylee were in the parade with Scott for Premier Autobody.
All of my family was in Utah for the wedding so it was a small different 4th this year.  Bridget had to work at Ace so Bruce and I went by Ace too watch the parade with us 3.  It started raining that afternoon and rained off and on all night.  They very sadly cancelled the fireworks again due to the lack of people out spending money to pay for the fireworks because of the rain.  They usually start at 9 and they cancelled them at 8.30.  It was a sad evening.  Jay and his family were here for dinner and David and Debbie and all their kids.  It was fun visiting with family but it's just getting easier and easier to cancel the fireworks!
