Dancing Queens

These 2 girls have been up to nothing but messes and more messes lately.  It's getting really old.  They have made messes lots before but not as big or as many or something.  When they are going to play something it just takes every book or every blanket and this and that and just ends up in a huge mess.
Yesterday they were playing in the bedroom for a while.  They came out and wanted Bruce and I.  We were just getting ready to leave so we told them when we got back we would go see what they were up to.  I have to admit because of the reason above I wasn't too excited!  Well we went in their bedroom and they had the lights off and it was dark.  They had music playing on my Kindle and told us to dance.  They had flashlights for the spotlights.  It was the cutest thing.....so sweet.  They told us it was because we haven't danced in a long time so they wanted us to dance.  It ended up being pretty darn special!

I hope next time I have a little more excitement when they are up to something!

YW

We were honored to go to Bridget's (along with many other YW) Personal Progress Recognition Dinner last night in Taylor.  They have a nice dinner for the girls who earn their PP award that year.  Bridget finished hers on her 14th birthday in October but had to wait until now for the dinner.  They had a girl from Taylor sing "In a Holy Place". When it was the chorus the girls from our ward walked up and sang with her.  It was really neat.

They had a couple of girls talk a little about one of their projects that they did. Sister Johnson from the Temple spoke to the girls along with President Whipple.  They gave each of the girls one of these really nice canvas prints of the Snowflake Temple.  Here Bridget is going to up get hers from Bro. Maner.

Bridget is one amazing YW and daughter.  She is such a happy girl and a great example not only to her other brothers and sisters but to Bruce and I. The temple behind her and in her hands is where she wants to be!  We couldn't ask for a better teenager to start this parenting thing with.  We love you Bridget!

Babies

This has been an exciting week at our house - well I guess not at our house but in the barn.  We knew our goats were pregnant and have been waiting their babies coming.  Well Monday Bruce was outside and went to check on them and Betty had her 2 babies.  She actually had 3 but 1 was dead when Bruce found them - we aren't sure what happened to it.
I was determined I was going to see Lolipop having hers so I checked on her regularly.  Sandee had told me signs to watch for when they are getting ready to have them.  Thursday I spent quite a while in the barn with them.  Bruce came home for lunch and we went out and fed them some hay.  About an hour later I was out hanging clothes on the line and heard a noise in the barn so I ran over there and I had just missed it.  She had just had her 2 babies.  Just right before I got there.

These 2 are Betty's.  They are smaller then Lolipop's because Betty had 3.
These goats are way cutier then I ever imagined.  I think big goats are really ugly but man the babies are cute!
We are not 100% sold on goats yet but man the babies are cute.  We will see how it goes with milking them and stuff now.

Oh and the same day Lolipop had her babies Cali our cat had 4 kittens. So these go along great with our baby chick Bruce has hatched and is hatching.  It was a busy and happy day in the little McLaws barn.

Track

Track is going on in full force!  Actually this has been a great track year because we have 3 kids involved in it.  There is lots more going on with 3 kids to watch instead of 1.
Dustin and Rhett are doing the shot put.
Dustin has done decent....he took 6th in Payson and 5th in Showlow.  Hopefully he can just keep moving up the ladder!
Rhett is learning and is enjoying being there.

Rhett running the 800.  He is doing good at just trying to beat himself.
Dustin getting ready to start the 400. He is not thrilled about doing this race.  He has the attitude that if he can't win or come close why do it.  Bridget and Rhett are OK with being one of the last in a race and will happily do it next time but not Dustin.
Bridget running the 200.  She isn't really a sprinter but just did what her coaches asked her to.  She really wanted to do the shot put this year but can't because her wrist is still bothering her some.  She is on the A team relay too.  She is excited to play softball next year in High School and let track be a thing of the past.  She has enjoyed it but I think all of us have realized we don't have any super track stars but they are having fun and getting exercise!!

Easter Morning

Well the Easter Bunny found us again this year.

The kids heading out to see if they can find the eggs.

We were 3 short and couldn't find any more.  Something (probably Tink) ate 1 that we saw the remains of.  The next day I saw Tink with another one.  I assume she got the 3rd one too.  I think she hid some so we couldn't find them and she could get them later!

Dustin and Rhett decided to tie their new Easter ties a new nifty way they saw on the internet.  I was rushing out the door to church and forgot to get a picture with all the kids on the beautiful Sabbath morning.  After church I forgot too - so we don't have a picture of all the kids in their Sunday clothes on Easter - think this is the first year yet :(

We had a wonderful Easter Sacrament Meeting.  The spirit was there very strong.  It was Bruce's 1st Sunday to conduct in the Bishopric.  He was very nervous.  There were tons of ward business so Jimmie did those.  There were 2 letters from the 1st presidency to read and a different Sacrament meeting.  We heard a few testimonies (one was Dustin's) of the Atonement and the Savior.  Lots of music and a great talk/testimony from Pres. Whipple (one of my favorites!)
We came home to a yummy Ham and escalloped potato dinner.  We had this yummy trifle for dessert.  The kids wanted me to take a picture of it.  I guess I do need proof that every great once in a while I do something that looks nice!

LeSueur Easter Breakfast

We had our traditional LeSueur Easter Breakfast at Darrel and Teresa's house.  The kids had tons of fun as usual. It consisted of a yummy breakfast of breakfast casseroles, doughnuts and fruit. Pictures from the morning.

Swimming

While we were in Mesa the kids wanted to swim.  I thought they were crazy.  The weather was perfect but perfect for sitting out side.  We went to Darrel and Teresa's house to swim.  It was a little chilly but they had fun.

Tylinn taking a little break from the cold water to warm up.
The kids got in their hot tub when they couldn't stand the cold any longer.  Brecks wife showed up with their kids.  Tylinn and Kaylee had lots of fun with their little girls.
 These boys are pretty goofy!
