National Honors Society

Bridget was inducted into NHS tonight.  We are very proud of this girl and the goals she has in life.  She is an amazing girl!

April Fools

April Fools Day is kinda fun day!  Bridget decided to make a day out of it.  The night before we looked on the internet to try to figure out somethings we could do.  We didn't really have any plans and went to bed.  We woke up to this note.  DO NOT move this!!  If you do, you get to kill what's inside of it!  There was a cup on the floor as if something was under it.  Well Bruce fell for it while I was gone running - then he got Rhett in on it when Rhett woke up then we all got Dustin in on it!  It was pretty good!

I got home from school and sat down at the computer to pay some bills and the mouse wouldn't work.  I figured the batteries were probably dead.  I looked for new batteries and couldn't find any.  I call Bruce to see if he knew were any were or what I could take some out of and he told me I could get some out of his Garmin thing.  I was just getting ready to and looked at the bottom of the mouse again to make sure the buttons were pushed and realized there was a little piece of paper over the sensor that said April Fools - Bridget was at it again! And by the way - Bruce knew about it but didn't bother to tell me :)

We finished up our night with poached eggs on toast (pound cake with peach half and whipped cream)

April Fools is just a fun day!  We like any reason to party!

Prom - 2015

Oh what a fun time for a girl (and her mom!)  Caleb asked Bridget to Prom.  He made this poster for her and put a whole bunch of rubber ducks on her bed and had letters to her name on some of the ducks.  She was one excited girl!
To answer him she had him do a little scavenger hunt and it ended at our house with these crazy kids on top of the rock holding the YES!

They doubled with Brittany and her date Dustin.  They had to go to Payson to pick up Brittany's date because he lives in Mesa.  While the were there they went Uno bowling.  They had tons of fun doing that.  They came back and went to one house for an appetizer and played Minute to win it games then to Whipple's for the main course of pork chops and potatoes and played a game with streamers down the hall and couldn't touch them or something. Then it was here for pazookies for dessert and play giant scrabble.

Dustin and Noah were asked to serve punch at the dance so they wore their suspenders and bow ties from 8th grade promotion and were all spiffed up.  They joked how they were going to Prom together so they went on their "dinner date" to Alberto's before the dance.

Dad even helped get Bridget's dress all tied up.  We ordered her dress off Amazon but it came from China.  We saw the same dress on other websites for $150 or so more then we paid for it from China.  It was great quality.  We were very glad we did this.  It took a little over a month to get here.  So it was a great thing but you do have to order early!
The fan club watching girls get ready for the dance.  Brittany and another girl - Winter got ready at our house too.  These girls were over hanging out with Rhett (they are weekend regulars) and had fun watching Bridget.

I sure love this pretty girl!
 And these girls!
Here they are!  They looked really cute together!
 The 4 kids.
Caleb's mom Melody came over to take pictures.  Here she is showing Bridget how to in on his boutonniere.
It took her a couple of tries but she finally got it.  Not bad for the first time!
Bridget looked beautiful!  Caleb didn't look too bad himself :)

 And they are off!
 The boys at the dance.
These 2 are great friends.  So glad they are just a year apart!
One thing I love about Prom here is they have a Promenade where the parents can come watch and they introduce all the couples and announce royalty.  Here is Bridget and Caleb coming through the door.  First couple announced!
And them dancing the night away!  It was a great night for them and they had a good time - thankful for 2 great kids!

Jr, High Track

Well Jr. High track has come and is just winding down.  Rhett qualified for finals in the relay so he will be going to finals but other then that it's over.   Tylinn did the shotput, the 800 and the last trackmeet the long jump.
Rhett man did the long jump, 100, and relay.
It was fun seeing cousins at track meets!

Tylinn was such a trooper running the 800.  This track meet she was way last - this last track meet she was right with a bunch of other girls but I think crossed the finish line last.  It was a pretty fast heat and she stayed right with them.

This is one of my favorite pictures Elwanda took.  Tylinn just got finished jumping and I am telling her good job and Dustin is there raking out the pit for the next jumper.  Great season kids!

Friends

Tylinn and Kaylee love playing with the Parry girls.  This particular day they got all dressed up and were having the time of their lives!

Easter 2015

We had a great Easter as always.  Pretty uneventful but a great day as a family.

It was General Conference Sunday so we got our yummy cream filled crapes.

We finished off our day by going to Snowflake for dinner with the family!

Ace Ace Baby

Bridget got a new job for this summer!  Jessica has been working at Ace in the Nursery for the past several years and always kind of joked that Bridget would take her place there.  Well that joke/wish came true!  This will be Jessica's last summer working there and Steve told her that whoever she wanted to hire and train he would.  So thankfully Bridget has a great summer job at Ace working in the nursery and best of all it is with Jessica! Along with Connie and Pam! I know they will have a blast!  Thankfully Bridget will learn from the best!  Her first day of work was a couple of Saturday's ago.  It's nice too because she can work some Saturday's before school gets out and work after school starts into August if she has time.  Thanks a million Jessica!

Coloring Eggs

Coloring eggs is always so much fun!
