Tylinn Allstate Orchestra

Tylinn practiced her little heart out to learn the songs for Allstate. She did great! They went down Friday evening and spent the night to be there early enough Saturday morning to start. This has been all my kids first night away from home for something with the school.

Q

These 2 were tuckered out after their long day!!

Mission Shopping

Tylinn had an Allstate orchestra concert she wanted us to go to in the valley so we decided to go and take Dustin and get some mission shopping done. We went to Pomeroy’s and got a suit, white shirts, sewing kit, alarm clock, passport hiding pouch, baptism clothes, and a belt. After that we went to Kohl’s to look at slacks- we ended up getting a few pairs there with a 30% off coupon. Then we went to the Distribution Center and got his temple clothes. So we got a good start on it but still have lots to do.

I am so proud of this boy for being such a great responsible boy. He is a great kid and tries hard to do what is right. This missionary stuff is getting a little more real to me and it’s awesome but it’s going to be a hard next 6 months. Graduation, him leaving and me dealing with it after he leaves. He is super excited!

Miss McLaws

Well little Miss Bridget got to substitute for Mrs. Perguson for 2 days while she was here for Spring Break. With her going into education for school we figured this would be perfect. It was perfect too because she got to be at the same school as me!! I loved it and so did she! She had severa comments from the second graders- I thought substitutes were supposed to be old but you are young- You are so pretty- boys talking to other boys- she is hot! So she was very well liked!!

Hungary/ Romania Mission

Well Dustin’s call came and we had quite the opening last night. It actually came the Saturday before we left for Mexico. Dustin did t even want to know if it was here until Monday night after he got home from snowboarding. Well Bruce told him it was here. It he wanted to wait until after spring break to open it when people were back in town and Bridget would be here. So last night was the night. We had a ton os people there with barely standing room only. He had lots of support!

Everybody put their guess on the map. Nobody got it!

Tylinn and Kaylee colored the cute chalk board.

Were were all very shocked when he read it. I thought for sure he would be Spanish speaking not to Hungary/Romania speaking Romanian!! Crazy stuff! He reports July 4! We have lots to do get him ready. I guess it gets super cold there so we have to buy clothes for the freezing cold!

He will be a great missionary but not sure how I am going to getthrough the next 6 months!! We are so blessed!!

Rocky Point - Spring Break 2018

We had a great trip to Rocky Point for spring break. We went last October and the boys couldn’t go and I really wanted to go so Dustin could go before his mission. Bridget was in California for a choir trip for school so she couldn’t go with us. We missed her a lot but still had a blast. We wanted some cousins with us so I invited Will and Reed and their families and knew Holli would probably come because of the condo her work owns. It ended up that everybody came except LeAnne and her family and a few of the married kids in the family. There ended up being 51 of us that went. When we got into town I just wanted some tortillas and to find a burrito shop somebody had told us about. We stopped and asked this guy and a little boy where to get tortillas. They took us to the perfect place that they were $1 a dozen. Last time we were paying $3 a dozen.

Stopped at a taco shop for some lunch

We found the burrito place 😁

Got to our room and enjoyed our tacos and burritos.

Then on to the beach! Great fun and great pictures.

The skim boards Bruce and the kids spent the week before making. The kids had fun on them.

One thing I love about Rocky Point are the sunsets on the water - I love them!!

Bruce and I out for a little run on the beach. Did this every morning we were there! ❤️

And have to get our $3 mangos=heaven

Last trip Holli and Kelli got their México hats. I didn’t get one so I had to take a picture and tell them to hurry and get there to see my hat!

Dinner with some of the crew.

We went to the fish market and had a fun time shopping and taking pictures.

Grandpa even got his boots shined.

Picture taken off our balcony

Ready for the banana boat

This was the crew that was there.

Shawn cooked some shrimp that Dustin and Rhett are enjoying. Then the view from Hollis room.

This was our room.

We had to stop on our way out of town and load up on tortillas. Delicious!!

Heading back across the border. Nothing like the USA!!

It was a great trip! We just got back and are ready to go again!!
