Well our little Rhett Man turned 12 last Friday! It is hard to imagine he is really 12! He was excited to open his presents.
I really wanted to take Rhett to the temple to do baptisms before the weekend was over because school was going to start and I didn't know when we would get him there. We got it arranged with the bishop to get a recommend. The bishop reminded us that boys have to have the priesthood in order to do baptisms. Our bishop was out of town for the week on vacation but he got the OK from the stake that on his birthday Bruce could ordain him because he is in the bishopric. So Friday afternoon we headed to Reed and Shavan's house (they were keeping Tylinn and Kaylee while we were at the temple). Grandma and Grandpa Flake met us there. Bruce ordained Rhett then we went to the temple. I forgot how fun it was to be with your kids the first time. One thing I love about Rhett is he gets excited about this and shows his excitement (unlike his brother and dad!) So I was really fun to take him to the temple.
Afterwards he wanted Trappers for dinner so we enjoyed a yummy hamburger and pie after the temple.
Rhett has loved yummy birthday cakes for a long time. The little girls just want something that looks cute but Rhett wants something yummy - so this year he decided he wanted Cheesecake. This kid loves cheesecake. I really like cheesecake but Rhett loves it. So here he is with his cheesecake.
Everybody loves Rhett - not sure what it is about him but he's just a special kid. Little kids especially love him. Little neighbor Brett (5 yrs old) asked Rhett if he was having a party. Rhett told him maybe and he asked if he did if he could come. Rhett Man we love you!!!
