California

For our family vacation this year we were very blessed to be able to go to California and go to the beach for a day then to Disneyland for 4 days after that.  We left Sunday of Memorial Day weekend - we are headed out!

 We drove to a little motel by New Port Beach and spent the night there.  Memorial Day we went to the beach with everybody else and their dog!!!  It wasn't too bad with all the people once we found a place to park. Here is our day at the beach.  Tons of pictures but it was SO much fun!  We for sure have to do a beach trip to San Diego sometime very soon.  The beach is a lot more fun when your kids are old enough to get in the waves and play!

We all tried really hard not to get sunburned.  We put sunblock on several times during the day but it either kept getting washed off or it wasn't working too good.  We all got a little roasted in a few places!  I think the worse was the top of Bruce's feet!  I think we forgot the sunblock there.  Tuesday morning we got up and headed to Disneyland.  We left that stinky little hotel room (thank heavens) and had the next 4 nights booked in Anaheim - right by Disneyland.  We had an absolute blast at the beach.  I decided we could be beach bums!  Well at least for a week :)
