Volleyball is over

These girls had one last volleyball game.  It is a sad day that it is over.  Bridget had tons of fun with them. On to basketball!
 Bridget with her Whip!

Life

Hunter came over to watch Superman with us the other night.  He loves Superman and the girls haven't ever watched the movie so he wanted to come watch it with us.
Dustin ready to head out the door for the stake dance and Bridget waiting for Caleb to come pick her up.

Wrestling

Rhett is trying his hand at wrestling again this year.  He didn't wrestle last year but wanted to keep in shape so is doing it this year.  He is wrestling 1st string.  He only weighs 95 lbs and is wrestling 111.  He is pretty much out there for fun!

Concert

The kids had an orchestra concert a couple of weeks ago.  Dustin played the cello the whole time.  Rhett and Bridget switched between the violin, piano, viola, and bass.  This was Tylinn's 1st concert so she was so excited!!

Sweet 16!

October 21st Bridget turned the big 16! She started out the morning with opening her presents.

She was way excited to get a volleyball blanket to pack on all her trips with her!
And the most exciting thing was an Ipod that she has been wanting for a few years!
French toast was the picking for breakfast!
She had her day at school then right after practice Barr took her to dinner here in town.  They are great friends and have been planning since 8th grade for Barr to take Bridget on her first date.  He is a great kid!
We were trying to think of something fun to do for a little party.  She decided she didn't want to do anything because she didn't want people to feel left out if they didn't get invited.  I told her we needed to do something.  Her birthday was on a Tuesday so it could be something simple.  We just decided to do brownies and icecream that night and just have kids come visit for a while.  I told her she could invite whoever she wanted.  She said that she was doing announcements that morning so could she just announce it on the announcements for the whole school.  I was a little worried how many and who would show up but that is what she ended up doing.  I just decided I would have lots of brownies and ice cream but when it was gone it was gone. We are ready to party!

There were about 40 kids that showed up so it was perfect! They were her closer friends so it was nice nobody showed up and us wondering why they were here.
Hunter had fun with the little girls - as usual
He was telling them a bed time story about 2 little girls that got to stay up late on a Friday night so we could watch Superman together.....

Ben and Bridget
Ben and Hunter insisted on staying till the end and being the last one to leave.  Well I got my dishes done out of the deal from Ben!
Saturday night Caleb took Bridget to Snowflake to the corn maze and stake dance.  They had lots of fun!

I think Bridget is getting used to this 16 year old thing pretty easy - loving the dating and driving!!  Bridget we love you and have loved every minute of the last 16 years with you!  You are a great girl!
