Friends

Almost all the time when Rhett is hanging out with kids it is Rhett and a bunch of girls.  This night was no exception.  Rhett was home and Lauren, Jillie and Makenzie said they wanted to come over.  They started eating some of our home grown grapes and decided they were pretty good.

Navajo County Fair

We survived another year at the fair.  Bridget got a Farmer John Pig - Rhett, Dustin, and Tylinn all got a pig from a Stevens guy from Taylor.  The judge this year gave out very very few blue ribbons - only to the top 1 in the class then the top 2 or 3 got red and the rest got white.  Dustin, Rhett and Tylinn all got white ribbons along with a lot of other people.  Bridget's pig was in the heaviest weight class with all Farmer John pigs so hers ended up taking 2nd in her weight class and got a red ribbon.  Bridget's weighed 332, Dustin's weighed 280, Rhetts weighed 246 and Tylinn's weighed 260.

Well the day of the sale is what really matters on how your pig does.  Bridget's got the highest ribbon so it was at the beginning of the auction.  Hers only ended up selling for $2.10 a pound. The other kids got $3.00 and $3.45 a pound.  Thankfully Bridget's pig was the cheapest to buy so she will end up ok after all of this.  I think Bridget and Dustin will be finished with the fair.  They are so busy with other things it's not a top priority.  Bridget had 3 volleyball games during the fair and Dustin and Rhett both had a football game.  It made for a crazy time!

Mustang Football

The boys had a great season with football.  I love watching my boys play football until somebody gets hurt!  Rhett played lots and ran the ball lots.  Dustin also has had a great season but his isn't over yet.  After he broke his arm it kind of put a damper on things on varsity but played almost all of every game of JV.  One JV game he made 5 touchdowns and 2 two pt conversions.

After the Showlow game Rhett was pretty upset.  Lucky boy  - that's when I had my camera!!

Labor Day Camping

Labor Day weekend we went camping on Stermer Ridge.  Holli and Reed and families came with us.  It was a lot of fun.  Sunday morning we got up and came into Heber for Church.  Grandma and Grandpa met us out there after church and had dinner with us and visited for a while.

This was pretty much our only camping trip this summer. We went one other time with friends but only spent 1 night out there and got rained out the other.
