We survived another year at the fair. Bridget got a Farmer John Pig - Rhett, Dustin, and Tylinn all got a pig from a Stevens guy from Taylor. The judge this year gave out very very few blue ribbons - only to the top 1 in the class then the top 2 or 3 got red and the rest got white. Dustin, Rhett and Tylinn all got white ribbons along with a lot of other people. Bridget's pig was in the heaviest weight class with all Farmer John pigs so hers ended up taking 2nd in her weight class and got a red ribbon. Bridget's weighed 332, Dustin's weighed 280, Rhetts weighed 246 and Tylinn's weighed 260.
Well the day of the sale is what really matters on how your pig does. Bridget's got the highest ribbon so it was at the beginning of the auction. Hers only ended up selling for $2.10 a pound. The other kids got $3.00 and $3.45 a pound. Thankfully Bridget's pig was the cheapest to buy so she will end up ok after all of this. I think Bridget and Dustin will be finished with the fair. They are so busy with other things it's not a top priority. Bridget had 3 volleyball games during the fair and Dustin and Rhett both had a football game. It made for a crazy time!
