Camping

This past weekend we had a fun weekend of family camping at Patrick's Pond.  Grandma and Grandpa came with Porter, Kimberly, Allison and Brandon.  Holli and family, Kelli and family and Reed and family came out Friday afternoon for the evening. (These pictures are some mother put on facebook.  Because my camera was so pathetic I didn't even take mine)

It had rained everyday prior to the camping trip so we figured we would get wet.  Yep we did but everything of ours stayed dry so it was just fine.  The kids and I went out Thursday afternoon and Bruce and Rhett (he is taking a Hunter's Safety Course) came Thursday night.  Bruce left Friday morning and went to work then came back out Friday after work. The kids had so much fun fishing for crawdads and eating them.

Grandpa rode a bike - haven't seen that for probably------well I can't even remember.  I guess after 30 years or something like that he still remembers how to ride a bike.
Grandma got on and tried it but had problems with her legs so she couldn't ride it.
Tylinn had a little bit of a rough trip.  She fell in the pond trying  to get a string.  She was reaching by the log and fell too far.  Dustin helped her back - she was just scared and cold.  About 5 minutes before we were going to leave she was over by Holli's car and Molly (their dog) bit her in the back of the leg.  Thank heavens she had pants on.  It left teeth marks and almost broke the skin but not quite.  If she wouldn't have had pants on it would have taken a huge chunk out of her leg.  It was a traumatic experience for her but she recovered quick and after just a few days she said she couldn't feel it anymore.  Thankfully it wasn't worse.
It was a way fun camping spot.  I hope we can get another trip in before the summer is over!  It was a pain in the neck getting everything packed (I did all the packing with lots of help from Dustin and some from Bridget and Dustin)  Bruce was busy working and went out the night before to get a tarp and tent set up so it was up to the kids and I to do it.  It's a ton of work to do inside and outside packing for camping but after we got there it was worth every minute of the work it was!
