So Long Mustang Football

Last Saturday we went to Joe City for our 1st play off game.  Unfortunately we came out the under dogs and football is over!
We had a fun time sending our boys off.  We made these signs for Dustin, Rhett and Barr.  (Tylinn was gone to Payson for a volleyball tournament.)

There goes the bus and they are off.....

My First Baby is 18!!

Well this sweet Bridget turned 18 on Friday.  We started the day out taking the Young Women to the temple.  We left at 6:30 that morning and had great turn out from the girls.
Noah is at the temple every morning at 8:00 so we saw him there. Great present for Bridget! Just missed Barr!

After the temple we went to Grandma and Grandpa Flakes house for dutch oven biscuits and gravy.  It was a beautiful morning and grandma and grandpa did great with breakfast - as usual!  It is a lot of work for Grandpa to do that by himself - 3 ovens of biscuits and the gravy but we all sure appreciated it.

After breakfast Bridget and I headed to Showlow for her Dermatologist appointment.  Got that taken care of and while we were waiting for her prescription she got to message back and forth with Caleb.  That made her day!  We hustled home from Showlow for a volleyball game against Ashfork.  They beat us when we went there but we beat them at the Joe City tournament so this was a big game.  Our only loss was them.  Well we beat them! Add to the great day!
After the game Barr and Noah took her to Snowflake for dinner and to watch the Snowflake/Showlow game.  These boys are so sweet to her and she loves them to pieces.  Another perfect part of the day for her to hang out with these two.  After the game back to our house for Brownies and Icecream and her falling asleep on the couch talking to Barr and Noah.  Bridget is such a sweet, special girl.  She has a very strong testimony and tries to do what is right.  She has ambition for life like I have never seen, loves school and to learn.  She is a great friend and it has been a joy to be her mom!  We have had many great times and talks!

Tylinn Volleyball

Tylinn has started Jr. High Volleyball!  She is loving it and is looking forward to improving.  She is in the top 6 starters.  Good job Tylinn!

Sunday Loves

Here are my loves on Sunday!  Good looking bunch!

Wood Cutting

The Saturday after Homecoming Bruce and the 3 youngest went out to get a load of wood.  I needed to stay home and get laundry done and the house cleaned.  Bridget had a lot of homework and helped me with laundry and Dustin had his date they wouldn't be home in time for. I sent the camera with Kaylee for pictures.

Homecoming 2016

Well we survived another year of Homecoming and Spirit week.  It is always so much fun but lots of work looking for things for everybody to wear.
Hat vs Sock Day

Mighty Man - Don't know why these boys have to look as ridiculous as possible to play Mighty Man but they sure have fun playing out there.  The Juniors lost to the Sophomores and Seniors.  Freshman I don't think beat anybody either.  Seniors played teachers and teachers cheated so the won.

These 3....
Bunch of Sophomores - Jaylen, Noah, John, Dustin, Chandler and Seth

Rhett took off as soon as it was over so I didn't get any pictures with him except when he was playing.

Preditor vs Prey Dustin didn't know what to do so he didn't dress up and Kaylee had left with dad so we didn't get a picture with her.
Powder Puff

Barr was coaching (see above picture) and Noah was on the sidelines.

Freshmen and Sophomores
All the kids

This pretty much sums them up.
Bridget and Whipple

Bridget and Jordan - both Seniors
Juniors
Freshman
My 3 high schoolers

Then the Homecoming assembly - the Football players and volleyball players walking out while getting introduced.

Bridget is the Student Body VP so she got to be more involved in the Homecoming activities then she wanted to.
Football Players
All 3 high school kids got nominated for royalty.

But none of them won.....

Volleyball players
Hans and Frans came to our assembly.  They did a great job entertaining.
Bridget and Rebecca the volleyball captains had to have a chat with them.

Friday afternoon volleyball romped on Joe City!  After a very heart wrenching loss to Joseph City for the football game 26 to 22 it was time for the dance.  Dustin came home after the game and laid on the couch and didn't want to get up!  He was pretty bummed! Dustin went to the dance with Jodie.  They came to our house after for Crepes.

Saturday night they went to Dillion's house in Snowflake for making their own pizza then to the haunted corn maze.  They came to our house after to watch a scary movie.  They had a fun time with everything!
